NEW WORK
In my latest series, "Organ," I delve into an introspective exploration of ageing, shifting the discourse from the external human experience to the profound narratives held within us. As I grow older, I find that conversations no longer linger on the surface. They venture deeper, probing the essence of our being, the inner mechanics that compose our existence, and the inevitable transformation of our physical and emotional landscapes.
"Organ" is a meditation on the internal rather than the external, a celebration of the unseen complexities that govern our lives. Each piece is a reflection on the organs that sustain us; heart, lungs, liver, and more, crafted not only to represent their physiological significance but also to evoke the emotional and symbolic resonances they carry.
This body of work aims to connect on a universal level, reminding us that despite our diverse exteriors, we share an intrinsic architecture. It asks the viewer to consider ageing not as a decay of the outward, but as a rich, ongoing narrative occurring within, often hidden yet profoundly felt. As we discuss what it means to grow older, "Organ" shifts the focus from what the eye can see to what the heart and mind can feel, fostering a deeper appreciation for the processes that define our human experience.
